Kalakand

Today is a very special day for all bengali Son-in-law.In bengali this is called Jamai Shasthi. Son-in-law is called Jamai in bengali.In this occassion Every Jamai goes to their sosurbari and there he celebrate with all his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law.Here Sasuri ma or Mother-in-law blesses his Son-in-law and daughter together.New garments are also given to them for this occassion.And lots of Recipes for this occassion are made too.All are must something bengali dishes.In these dishes sweets are much more necessary.And thats why many sweet dishes are made or brought from the famous shops.But we are very far from this bengali festival as we have to stay far away from out home town todays for the job purpose.But more of this we can celebrate it over the phone or something special menu for this day in favour of Sosurbari towards the Jamai.You know it is very exciting for me too.So For this special event I made something very special in favour of My Mother for her Grand Jamai.Tod

Pomfret in Mustard Sauce

Pomfret fish in mustard sauce is a recipe of easy and tasty recipe.I take the chance to cook pomfret fish in many ways.So this is the most easiest recipe of pomfret.It can be made as baked pomfret,pomfret curry,and pomfret in masala.But overall its the recipe of easiest way.And it takes very less time to make.I used here raw mustard oil after the preparation too...as it makes more flavour to the dish.I remove the peel of mustard seeds as I follow that mustard seeds with peel makes the sauce slight bitter to tase,and without peels it gives the exact taste of mustard seeds.So check out this easy recipe of pomfret... Ingredients : Pomfret Fish 1-2. Mustard seeds paste. Green chili 3-4(cut into slit). Cumin seeds 1/2 tsp. Mustard Oil 2tbsp. Turmeric powder. Salt to taste. Corianderleaves(chopped). Method : Marinate Pomfret fish with little salt and turmeric powder. Heat oil in a pan. Fry pomfret with simmer with covering a lid for 3-4mins. Take 2

Soyabeans Kofta Curry | Soya Bean Recipe

T oday I am going to share with you a recipe of kofta(balls of minced or ground vegetables) which has been made with soya beans granules. Koftas are very popular dish in India. Koftas can be made in various process in different flavours.When Deep fried veggie balls in gravy it is called Kofta curry.Today I tried it some different way where I used Soya beans granules to make it different in taste.Here,Soya beans granules is used with potato and some veggies.You can use soya beans balls by grinding in a mixture.After making koftas you can make curry in your own process as you like.I make this curry some spicy with garam masala and ghee.So check out This Soya beans Kofta Curry...

Sweet Paneer Gravy

This preparation denotes a easy recipe of paneer.I just made it without any spicy ingredients but all vegetables ingredients only.When,I was getting bored with the same type preparation of Paneer,so I tried it little more different.And this is true it comes out very well.And the name behind "Sweet Paneer Gravy",represents that Its taste is much more sweeter than normal preparation. And you all know that paneer is a healthy and tasty stuff, and this recipes denotes also a healthy and tasty preparation too.And I must say again that to make this preapartion it takes very little time.It goes with paratha/chapatti very well. Gulab Jamun

In my favourite sweet dishes Gulab Jamun is the Favourite one.The red gulab jamun is made using milk based dough and rosewater essence.It is deep fried in oil and soak into sugar syrup to make sweet.Gulab jamun is such a dessert which is used in the major celebration like marriage or any other big occassions. As I prepare sweet dish/dessert very rare.So this is my first time preparation of gulab Jamun.I was very feared about this but must say it comes very well.And this is only for my hubby as he loves sweet dish very much.And I am Happy too...So ralish this sweet dish at your home too...Here is the recipe for Gulab Jamun. Ingredients : 3 Cups Milk Powder 1 Cup all purpose flour/Maida 3 Pinch Soda Bi-Carbonate 3 Spoons Ghee 2 Cups Curd 3 tbsp Rawa Oil to fry To Make syrup : Sugar 3 cups water 3 cups Cardamom seeds 4-6 Rose water essence 2-3 drops Method : To make Syrup : Put one bowl to make a syrup with water and Sugar. Dahi Vada

Dahi vada a south indian special dish,which I love very much.Whenever I went for travelling at Andhra Pradesh, I tasted it...but must say at there dahi vada is not like that type which one we do regularly at home!!! it was very simple to taste. There was no masala/spices at all..vada was served only with curd and salt.After that I heard that There is two types of flavours. One is Like South Indian style another one is Rajasthani style/Gujrati style.Rajasthani style/Gujrati style dahi vada is very spicy/masala flavoured with lal mirchi/red chili. I like this one... Hope everybody like this too...The deep fried vadas are served with curd,tamarind chutneys and masala. Ingredients : For Vada : Urad Dal/lentils 2 cups(soked in water for overnight) Ginger paste 3-4 tsp Green chili paste 3-4tsp Oil to deep fry For Chutney : Tamarind Juice (soak in warm water) Sugar 1 cup For Garnishisng : Coriander leaves chopped 1 cup Red chili powder

Vegie Chowmein :

After a long time I get a chance to post the new one.Today I want to share with you a chinese dish,chowmein. As per wiki's description "Chow mein is a generic Chinese term for a dish of stir-fried noodles." Basically it is prepared  with the combination of variety vegetables,chicken and eggs.But I like to prepare the veg one.As per chinese ingredients soya sauce and  aginomoto should be used but as aginomoto is not good for health so I would not like to use this.AS much as possible I make it simple. So the preparation of Vegie Chowmein is for you.Try this one...
